David Eugene Ross, 78, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in his home surrounded by family. He was born October 6, 1947, in Kansas City, Kansas, son of Ralph Clifton and Stephania Mildred (Arh) (Arch) Ross. He was a graduate of Bishop Ward High School and Emporia State University.

David served in the US Army as an MP during the Vietnam War, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. In 2013, David retired from his role as the Deputy District Director of the United States Small Business Administration in Kansas City, Missouri, after a lifelong career with the agency.

David was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Kay Ross, and his brothers, Matthew Ross and Charles Ross. He is survived by three sons, Aaron (Kristen), Bryan (Ellen), and Craig (Stacy); two grandsons, Avery and Austin; six granddaughters, Estelle, Charlotte, Kailyn, Adrienne, Scarlett, and Harper; his sister, Rose Elaine Ross; and numerous family and friends.
