Guide to Pre-Planning

The Cremation Center of Kansas City is pleased to offer families personalized prepayment plans and it just makes sense!

Today, more and more people are choosing to plan their cremation and/or memorial service in advance. We've found that our families think this makes sense for three basic reasons:

  • YOU CAN RELIEVE AN EMOTIONAL BURDEN FROM THOSE YOU LOVE - By making sound decisions in advance without stress, you can free your loved one from this responsibility. This allows them to concentrate on supporting each other at a very emotional time.

  • YOU CAN EXPRESS YOUR OWN WISHES - Often families are confused about what is proper to do. They may agonize over what type of final arrangements you wanted. By selecting your options in advance, you remove all doubt. If you wish, you can even revise your plans later.

  • YOU CAN RELIEVE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN FROM THOSE YOU LOVE - If you also choose to take care of the funding of your cremation and memorial service in advance, you will relieve your family and loved ones with the worry and financial challenges that otherwise would be associated with your death. You may be amazed at how good it makes you feel to get your wishes recorded. You can enjoy peace of mind, knowing that you have not left these decisions for others to face.

In the state of Kansas, we must place the funds you use to prepay for your arrangements with a company approved by the state; therefore, we do not have access to these funds until the time of death. Your funds are protected by an independent company that is bonded, insured and licensed by the state of Kansas to protect your money.

YOU MAY PRE-PLAN WITHOUT PRE-PAYING FOR CREMATION SERVICES - You may choose to pre-plan your cremation and/or memorial service without pre-funding the plan. Payment will be expected at the time services are performed by the Cremation Center of Kansas City.

We are eager to answer all your questions, and there is no cost or obligation for our pre-planning services. Please contact us for an appointment by calling (913) 384-5566.
