William Thomas “Tom” Morris


William Thomas “Tom” Morris of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, in the Kansas City Hospice House at the age of 70.

He was born in Harrison, AR, on December 29, 1942, to Jewell and Dorothy Morris. He graduated from Harrison High School and from the Kansas City Art Institute. He was in the Naval Reserve during the Vietnam conflict and was active in several areas of Southeast Asia.

He worked in the field of art and photography. His work was featured in several exhibits and publications through the years.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Mary Carolyn Rose and brother-in-law Jack Rose of Harrison; his nieces, Mary Anne Rose of Springfield, MO, Christy Conrad and husband Reece, Becky Borland and husband Hal of Harrison; and two aunts, an uncle and several cousins who mourn his passing. He is also survived by special friends Laura, Kevin, Alice, Kathleen and all his friends at Fric & Frac.

Cremation. A private memorial ceremony for family and friends will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145.

    I am grateful for the life of Mr. Morris. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
