William Randolph Scott

in-loving-memory

William Randolph Scott, 62, died on March 28, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Bill was born on October 6, 1948 in Kansas City where he lived all his life. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School, attended Baker University and then enlisted in the United States Navy. He served two tours on the U.S.S. Ranger during the Vietnam War. He worked for Johnson County Volvo-Mazda, UnitedMcCarthy Nissan and Harrah’s Casino. But his real passion was home remodeling and he spent the last six years working for Home Depot.

Bill was fascinated with the history of the airline industry and was a member of the “Save a Connie” Club. He was interested in Sharpeis and rescued several. His dogs, Roz, Sadie and Fannie Mae were faithful companions and he was devoted to them.

Bill is survived by his twin brother, Robert Starritt Scott and his wife, Susan, sister Jane Haines, nieces Anne Haines and Maggie Scott and many loving cousins and special friends.

The family wishes to thank Bill’s co-workers and friends at Home Depot for their support and prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to K.C. Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145 or to SASSY (Senior Appropriate Pet Adoption for Seniors), 3523 Eastvale Road, Fairway, KS 66205. Bill was an organ donor. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

    Bob and Janie,
It’s hard to lose a playmate, so I can’t begin to feel what you are going through right now. I have such great memories of our past together. I’m so, so sorry for your loss.
