Tyler Reid Pray

On February 27, 2020 Tyler Reid Pray, husband to Paula Pray, son of Patricia Pray and Michael Pray, brother to Brian Pray, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Tyler was a gentle soul and would be the first person to help anyone in need. He loved living in the country and loved the community of Louisburg, KS. Tyler was born in Omaha, Nebraska but raised primarily in Overland Park, KS where he attended Shawnee Mission South and created a group of lasting friendships. He along with his family owned Pray and Associates, a wholesale to retail gift business which thrived for 40 years. Tyler then reinvented himself and became quite successful in the IT world. He most recently decided to take on a new adventure and had become a franchise owner and Matco distributor, which he really loved. He so enjoyed building relationships with the techs in shops and he could always be counted on to show up and be kind. In his spare time Tyler enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife and great friends. He will be so missed and exemplified kindness, compassion and loyalty.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tyler Pray Memorial Fund, which can be noted in the memo portion of the check and mailed to Village Presbyterian On Antioch, 14895 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS 66221.

Paula: So sorry to read about your loss of Tyler. I remember the days when you two first met, the first barn he built for you , buying Frasier and putting up with crazy horse women. He was hard working and nice; an all around good person.

I worked with Tyler at Sprint about a year ago. He was always very helpful – a team player. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a sweet smile. May God rest your soul Tyler. You are missed!!

My sincere condolences to you Paula and your family. Tyler was my Matco dealer and I had met you when you rode with him handing out raffle tickets and updating customer info. I know I only knew Tyler for a short time but in that short time we became friends and I enjoyed seeing him stop by my shop. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to Paula and the family from the staff at KH Automotive

Paula- I’m having trouble finding my words because we are all so shocked at this devastating news. How lucky you were to have such a kind and gentle soul to spend your life with for so many years. Your wedding was so memorable and I believe the only one I wished wouldn’t end. Tyler and you were the most joyful couple and kept yourselves and your guests in the most joyous and loving spirit. And gosh we got to see everybody dressed up. We literally had to guess at who some of the people were. Honestly one of my best memories. Remember that laughter, remember that Joy, and in your dark times remember that beautiful soul that wanted to spend his life with you. Thank you for sharing that extraordinary time with your friends. And your life just got better from there on. We love you and have you in our hearts.
