Susan Gail Creath-Robinson, 60, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully at home with her family, on November 17th, 2021 after living many years with Multiple Sclerosis. Susan was born on September 7th, 1961 in Wichita, Kansas to James Fredrick Creath and Betty Jane Smith-Creath. After living in Wichita and Joplin for a few years, her family returned to Overland Park, Kansas in 1968. Susan graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1980 where she met many lifelong friends. Susan earned a JCL specialist certification from Johnson County Community College. After college, Susan went on to work at ERC Insurance, Sandifer Motors, and later in her life at Taco Via.
Susan was married and had a daughter, Sarah Robinson, in 1992. Sarah was the light of her life. Even with her illness, Susan was an enthusiastic and caring mother, who would do anything for her child. She was extremely supportive of all her daughter’s endeavors, from hosting girl scouts’ meetings to driving to different practices, games, and performances. Susan did everything she could to support Sarah’s dreams. Susan extended this type of unconditional love to those closest to her in life. Susan’s friends and family will forever carry that love with them.
As a young child, Susan enjoyed spending time with her family at her grandparent’s farm and always told hilarious stories of her and her siblings’ adventures. After high school, Susan volunteered with the Big Brothers and Sisters program, where she was able to make an impact helping the youth in her area. While in her late 20’s, Susan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. MS did not stop her from living life to the fullest. Susan had many friends who were very supportive and together they enjoyed events like concerts in Overland Park and Downtown Kansas City. Susan was also an active member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and participated in many of their local events with friends and family. Susan and her family were members of Valley View United Methodist Church (Now Church of the Resurrection Overland Park) where Susan was very involved with the Evening Care Program.
