Rudolph Hiram, Broadnax, Jr. (Lil Rudy)
Lil Rudy died peacefully at Olathe Health Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas on May 15, 2021, surrounded by his mother, sister, and the Critical Care team on duty.
Lil Rudy was born to Rudolph H. Broadnax, Sr. and Carolyn T. Broadnax on June 6, 1967, in Washington, DC. He grew up in Oxon Hill, MD. After graduating from Oxon Hill High School in 1985, Lil Rudy followed his dads’ footsteps and devoted his life driving tractor trailers that he loved so well. Lil Rudy dreamed of owning his own tractor and trailer. His CB handle was BamBam. Lil Rudy moved to Shippensburg, PA where he resided the last eight years.
He leaves behind his devoted father, Rudolph Broadnax, Sr. (Vondalee), his devoted mother, Carolyn Broadnax (Sam) and his devoted sister, Teresa Broadnax (fur baby Sansa). His extended family included Vickie Thomas and his Goddaughters, Elaine (Sebastian), Tempestt (Allyana and Amiya), and LaShay (Chrisette and Zayyar). He leaves behind bonus sisters, bonus brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank the awesome staff in the Critical Care Unit for their excellent, outpouring, and personal care they administered every minute to Lil Rudy. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the Olathe Health Charitable Foundation at Olathehealth.org in the memory of Rudolph H. Broadnax, Jr.
The family would also like to thank the Cremation Center of Kansas. Lucy and Doug were both patient, and caring. They gave us their personal attention to our needs for his remains to be cremated.
Happy Heavenly 54th birthday Lil Rudy on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Waving our hands to you as we dedicate Interstate 35 in central U.S. as the major route you traveled to transport goods from one location to another. We love you always. Sending hugs and kisses to you in your eternal home.
We truly miss you Lil Rudy. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace with Gods’ family.
