Ronald Ullmann passed away on April 22nd after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Ronald was known as husband, Dad, and Poppi’ and left a legacy behind. Ronald was born and raised in Southampton, New York, and married the love of his life Rosanne on May 5th, 1973. Ronald was a Vietnam Veteran and served four years in the United States Air Force.  Later Ronald moved the family to central Florida where he was a school bus driver for 24 years.  Later to be closer to his family and his grandchildren he moved to Overland Park, KS. Ronald loved the Knights of Columbus, children, and family were everything.  He loved to golf and the ocean and if he could go on a boat or play golf every day he would.  Ronald is survived by his wife Rosanne, Daughter, Tara-Marie, Son Eric, Sister – Barbara Brother-in-Law Ben, Daughter-in-law Emily, and all his grandchildren Zander, Zachary, Zavier, Zoey, and Leo. 

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Grace Ullmann, and his grandson Sebastian Chapman.


A Memorial Service will be held on April 29th, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Church of Ascension 9510 W 127th St Overland Park, KS 66213. On Friday, April 30th, Ronald will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138 at 10:30 AM.

    Ron, you are far and above any place in the heavens NASA could even hope to dream of. To all the Ullmann family and especially Roseanne…may the Lord bless you and keep you in his loving and comforting embrace.

    Dad i miss you and it won’t be the same without you. I remember as if it was yesterday the night we went shrimping and we were up all night with 12 traps and caught one shrimp and you asked me if I wanted to see the sun rise and I said why not as that was the highlight after shrimping was a bust. I’m a natural smart ass and I learned from the best. You always taught me if your going to bullshit make it believable! Well eveytime I bs I’ll think of you.
