Born on January 16, 1954 she passed away on September 18, 2021, at KU Medical center. She was born to Philip Hamel and Betty Paxton in Warrensburg Missouri. She is survived by her husband Scott Thrush of Gerster, Missouri. One Son Brian and (Corva) Hamel of Osceola. One Daughter Sarah and (Joseph) Martinez of Independence. There were three Grandson’s Mateo, Neiko, Tiajago. Four Granddaughters’ Essence, Aaliyah, Desire`e. One great Granddaughter, ElliAnnna. One Great Grandson, Oliver.  A Sister Christina and (Richard) Beach of Lowry City.  An Aunt Betty Garret and Son Russell. An Uncle Richard Delamater. She is preceded in death by One Sister Mary and (Frank) Whitby. And one Brother George Clifford Hamel. Phyllis loved to help other`s. She worked as a CNA for many years.  She took pleasure in making crafts. She also enjoyed being on her farm taking care of her animals. She was loved by many. And will be greatly missed by all.

There will be no official services as per her wishes. The Family will meet Saturday September 25, 2021 around one at the Osceola Park.
