Peggy Sue Martin was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She left this world suddenly on January 23rd 2022 at 50 years old. She was born to Iris and the late Leslie Raymond Hemenway on December 29th 1971. After graduating high school she joined the army and served a wonderful 6 years where she received the training to become an X-Ray technician. She lead a long career in healthcare that was benefitted by her kind and giving nature. Peggy loved taking her dogs on long walks with her husband Jim. She loved to tell stories and travel to new places telling them. Most importantly she was all about adventure. Whether it was a short trip to the store or a week long getaway. She kept everyone around her 10 years younger.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Martin, her daughters Ashley and Megan Novak, as well as Step Children James, Darin (Alfredo), and Hannah Martin, Her brother Doug Hemenway. Sisters Beth (Sam) Knowlton and Suzanne (Mark) Balachowski. Along with several nieces and nephews, which she loved with all her heart. Her cheerful smile and short giggles will be missed by so many.
Service
A small funeral service will be held at The American Legion on January 26th at 6:00 to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers her family asks that you choose an animal shelter to donate to in her memory.
Peggy and I were in band together and often walked home together. She was always such a lovely person and a good friend. She was so young and I wonder what happened. I hope she didn’t suffer. Sending much love to her family.

My heartfelt sympathies are with you all. She was one of a kind and the dearest of friends to many.
Peggy was a fellow classmate who shared the same middle name as myself. We’d often joke because they mistakenly put Peggy Sue Grim on our graduation program instead of Penny. Peggy always had a smile and a kind word for anyone. It shined through even on our messages through Facebook to each other. Right up to the day before she passed. She will be missed immensely. My prayers are with you all.
