Patricia Ann (Ryken) Matlock


Patricia Matlock, 78, passed away in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri on Thursday, June 16th, 2022. 

Pat was born on February 19th, 1944 in Pierre, South Dakota to Richard “Dirk” and Dora (Harms) Ryken. Pat was the youngest of three children. In 1950, Pat moved with her family to Missouri where she resided until she married Anthony Dominic Dialoiso in 1963 in Independence, MO. After Tony was discharged from the Air Force, they moved to Pittsburgh, PA and had two children together. Anthony Todd and Kimberly Ronae. Pat and kids later returned to the Independence area where they resided until Pat retired from the Proctor & Gamble’s, Folger’s Coffee processing/packaging plant in Kansas City. Following retirement, Pat moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where she enjoyed crappie fishing and watching the wildlife. Pat and late husband, Vince Matlock, helped to raise two of her five grandchildren for several years and made a lasting impact on their lives. Pat’s children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. Pat was a proud member of the Red Hat Club and the local VFW. She had very fond memories of outings and trips with dear friends in those groups. Pat enjoyed card games, bingo, wood working, embroidery and being creative in her spare time. 

Pat is proceeded in death by her parents: Robert “Dirk” and Dora Ryken; brother, Fred Ryken (and wife, Betty); late husband, Vince Matlock; and daughter, Kimberly Huffaker. She leaves behind her brother: Robert Ryken (and wife, Lucille); son: Todd (and wife, Tina); Rex Huffaker (Husband of Kimberly), five grandchildren: Joey Dialoiso, Sara (Huffaker) Horner, Kyle Huffaker, Jacob Dialoiso and Tory Huffaker; and four great-grandchildren: Emery Horner, Jace Dialoiso, Koehn Horner and Briggs Horner.


As per Pat’s request, no funeral will be held. A simple graveside service for close family will take place at the Lees Summit, Missouri Cemetery. Please invite your friends over for a game of cards in her honor.
