Wayne E. Struchtemeyer, 82, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving
family. He was born on December 12, 1943, to Elmer and Edna Ann Struchtemeyer.
Wayne graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 1961. Following graduation, he
attended Wentworth Military Academy, where he served as a Tactical Officer. He later earned a
degree in drafting from Central Missouri State University and continued his education through
night school, obtaining an engineering degree. He also earned a Master of Business
Administration from Rockhurst College.
Wayne enjoyed a distinguished career of more than 30 years with Marley Cooling Tower
Company before retiring in 2000. Throughout his career, he was known for his strong work
ethic, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
A man of deep faith, Wayne was a devoted member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church in
Gardner, Kansas. His faith, kindness, and unwavering love for his family were the foundation of
his life.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Edna Ann Struchtemeyer; his first wife,
Linda Holman Struchtemeyer; his second wife, Patricia Coleman Struchtemeyer; and his son,
Keith "Butch" Alexander.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, David (Reba) Struchtemeyer, Jeff (Casey)
Struchtemeyer, Renee Stanley, and Jackie (Mike) Riley; his brothers, Curtis (Valarie)
Struchtemeyer and Glen (Deborah) Struchtemeyer; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren
grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends who will cherish
his memory.
Wayne will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, steadfast faith, generous
spirit, and the example he set through hard work, integrity, and compassion. His legacy of love,
faith, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
