Victor Guillermo Vidals entered the presence of his Lord on September 3, 2024, at the age of 92. Even in his later years, Victor was a picture of vitality, regularly attending exercise classes and walking his beloved dog. His sharp mind remained a testament to his enduring strength and spirit.

Born in Mexico, Victor immigrated to the United States with a dream of advancing his medical training. Arriving with just $37 in his pocket, he quickly learned English and, on his first attempt, passed the Medical Licensing Examination—a remarkable achievement. His long and distinguished career as a general surgeon at St. Joseph Medical Center left an indelible mark on the community, where his skilled hands and compassionate care benefited countless families, often across multiple generations.

Victor's faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life, and he was dedicated to witnessing to others, sharing his faith with those around him. He served as a father figure to many, especially his nephews who looked up to him as the guiding influence they lacked.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Alicia, and his children, Patty, Lily, and Memo, along with Memo's wife, Terri. Victor was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and mentorship to many others who were grafted into the family, young men whom he nurtured and guided throughout his life.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. The family gathered around his bedside in his final days, celebrating his life—a memory they will cherish forever.
