Thomas "Tom" F. Carroll, born on April 20, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 72.

 Tom dedicated much of his life to serving his community. He began his career as a police officer with the Kansas City Police Department, where he was recognized for his bravery with an award for saving individuals from a burning building in the early 1980s. After his distinguished service on the police force, Tom transitioned to a successful career with Brinks as a Head Mechanic. Tom dedicated 35+ years, from which he eventually retired.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom had a passion for flying his airplane and was known for his appreciation of fine automobiles (of which some he made you take off your shoes to even get in). Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, particularly during the holiday season, when he could often be found surrounded by loved ones, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories. Tom especially loved spending holidays at his sister Jean's home, where you would find them both up until the early morning hours just visiting & watching TV together.

 Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and James Carroll; his uncle Gregory Carroll; his brother Daniel Carroll; and his brother-in-law Dale McCullough.

 He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in the hearts of those he leaves behind: his son, Brandon Cline; his sisters, Jean McCullough and Lorraine Padilla; brother, Michael Carroll; his niece, Christi McCullough; his nephew, Ryan Padilla; and his great-niece and great-nephew, Tessa Parker and Kian Padilla.
