Obituary

Paul, age 72, passed away on March 23, 2026, at AdventHealth Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas.  Paul was born on August 2, 1953, to Walter Alley and Daphine (Alley) Miller in Princeton, Missouri.

He attended Shawnee Mission North High School and Johnson County Community College.  He was an avid skydiver, student instructor, licensed as a USPA certified Skydiver with License D-17050.  After 18 years with Trucking Company, Lady Baltimore, until 2002, he continued his career in Transportation in Kansas City (with a short but highly enjoyable stint with Cheney Brothers in West Palm Beach, FL) until he retired in 2016.

He had a deep passion for bass fishing all his life, and starting in 2003, his wife Lexa joined him in the boat.  He enjoyed his passion for fishing up to the week before he passed away.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lexa, and her daughter Spring Whitney, along with his step-grandson Tyler Patterson, his wife Robyn, and his step-granddaughters, Aubry and Tatum.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at a location we can raise a glass and toast to a truly great guy. Honest, loyal to his friends, and never afraid to speak his mind.

If you would like to, you can donate to Great Plains SPCA, 5428 Antioch Drive, Merriam, KS 66202, in memory of Paul Alley.  He loved his animals and would want to make sure that those cats and dogs find their forever home.
