On December 6, 2024, Sue Ellen Mather-Spink passed away peacefully in her home with her baby girl, Amanda by her side holding her hand. Sue Ellen was born on October 15, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama.

Sue Ellen is survived by her daughter, Amanda Madrigal (Michael), daughter-in-law, Angela Mather, sisters, Cheryl Pehrson (Ron) and Parilea Niemeyer (Garry), Grandchildren, Logan Lisle, Ashley Ratcliffe, Zachary Lisle, Shelby Holena, Kaylee Mather, Nic Hawkins, Grace Mather, Lexi Lisle, Levi Lisle, Isabelle McCann, Antonio Madrigal and several great grand-children who will miss their Grammy so very much.

Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Spink, sons, Robb and Kieth Mather, and daughter, Shiela Mather-Lisle. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Hubert Gray, and siblings, Judy, Linda, Steve, and Dennis.

Sue Ellen spent over 30 years in the bar business. She never met a stranger and made everyone smile and feel at home. In her later years, she would do the same with the doctors and nurses that she encountered at The University of Kansas Hospital Heart Center. They all loved Ms. Sue. She was so loving and caring and protective of everyone in her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Kansas City Elks Lodge #26, 515 E. 99th Street, Kansas City, MO 64131 .

There will be notecards provided to write down memories/stories about Sue Ellen to share with her family.
