Stephen Robert Crutcher passed away peacefully on June 3. 2026 surrounded by close friends at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Hospital, Merriam, Kansas. 

Steve graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1963 and lived in Prairie Village, Kansas, almost his entire life. He was a kind and caring person who never knew a stranger, and Steve had a unique way of touching the lives of every person around him. 

Steve was preceded in death by his Father, Ora Lynn Crutcher; Mother, Gladys Louise Crutcher; and Brother, Daniel E. Crutcher, along with countless friends and his beloved bridge-playing community. 

Steve’s heartfelt generosity has been and will remain a long-lasting legacy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and, as always, “Rock, Chalk Jayhawk, KU!”
