Obituary

Sean Jeff Edward Shannon Murphy And occasionally Jeremy or Jamie The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. . til now. Ooops. I woke up dead. To begin this story, I record that I was born. 07/03/1969. I know. You thought I was older. It's not the years, it's the mileage. Raised by Karen and Archie Murphy, et. al, I then found my home at a young age at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival community. Ever on a quest to find the mythic in the mundane, I entered the ranks of EMTs, firefighters, and cops. Waylaid at the tender age of 33 by meningitis, I then sought the epic in the Star Trek fan fiction organization, Civil War reenactments, live action role playing, and the community lead by Heartland Spirit Alliance. Kaitlin Mesh, Evan Mesh, Kathryn Crow, Molly Murphy; my children. You are the lights of my life and afterlife. I hope you truly know the joy, love, and pride I feel for each of you. I feel overwhelmingly blessed and awed by being your dad. And I'm right here, kiddos. Always with you. Keep being the amazing humans you are. Eric Miranda and Joel Beaudoin, thank you for standing with them. Kelan Crow, Ian Crow, Evelyn Crow; my grandchildren. You are gifts beyond my imagination. I'll always be in the stands, the audience, and in the night sky. Love you. And Robin, my wife: I know. Always did. Always will. Happy now to join my father, George Peters, and all the ancestors by the fire in the great hall, with Thor and Havoc at my feet. I always said I'd sleep when I was dead so will someone please tell that flight of angels to shut the hell up? I gotta get some rest before I boldly go…I got some strange new worlds to explore. Oh yeah, come join us at SeanCon: A Gathering, where I hope you tell stories, sing some songs, and raise a glass.
