Obituary

Scott D. Paschang passed away on February 3, 2025. Scott was born in Kansas City and grew up in Prairie Village, Kansas, where he attended Shawnee Mission East High School, graduating with the class of 1982. Scott attended Johnson County Community College and the University of Missouri before graduating from Avila College with a BSBA in Finance. Scott was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Alpha Nu Chapter.

Scott began his professional career as inventory manager for an Olathe-based office supply company before joining Twentieth Century Investments. After leaving Twentieth Century, he worked as a private day trader. Scott later joined United Health / OPTUM Rx, where he worked until his death.

Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman. Scott always took time to enjoy his favorite sports of hunting, fishing, camping, and playing golf. He was a dog lover and volunteered his time and talents at Wayside Waifs, reflecting his deep compassion for animals.

Scott was preceded in death by his father. Scott is survived by his mother and three brothers as well as a niece, two nephews, and many friends and colleagues, all of whom will miss him dearly.

The family welcomes his many friends and co-workers to a celebration of life to be held in the Rosewood B Room at Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse at 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, Kansas, on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, from 2:15 pm to 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wayside Waifs animal shelter ( WaysideWaifs.org ) or the animal rescue/shelter of your choice, honoring Scott's enduring love for animals.

Scott will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, and friend whose legacy of kindness, adventure, and generosity will forever inspire those who knew him. His spirited presence will be dearly missed by all.
