Sara Marie Bowersock, affectionately known as Sara Bear-A, passed away on October 31,

2026, in Lawrence, Kansas, at the age of 45. Born on December 17, 1980, in Roseville,

Michigan, Sara lived a vibrant and creatively rich life that touched many.

Sara was the founder and owner of Point Blank Art & Design, launched in 2008—a true

testament to her talent and entrepreneurial spirit. A graphic artist and overall creative

powerhouse, she brought art to life and life to art. Her work garnered notable recognition,

including exhibitions at the Johnny Cash Museum and features as a spotlight artist in Voyage

Denver (June 2026) and Tulsa People Newspaper (January 2020). A graduate of Tulsa

University with a BA in Liberal Arts, Sara traveled the globe sharing her art, always seeking new

inspiration.

Beyond the canvas, Sara was a dedicated cat rescuer and an active member of Denver Cat

Rescue, demonstrating her big heart for the smallest creatures. Her passions extended to

music—she was a lover of all genres and a musician herself—and to the great outdoors, where

she loved hiking and outdoor adventures. An intrepid road warrior and connoisseur of

microbrewery tours, Sara blended adventure and culture with enviable flair.

A proud woman business owner, Sara was also an advocate for mental health, lending her

voice and art to support important causes. Her zest for life, unwavering creativity, and

compassion for both people and animals left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to

know her.

Sara Bear-A is remembered fondly by her ex-husband Chris Fellure, her mother Cathy Caiozzo

and stepfather Matthew Caiozzo, her father Richard Leo Bowersock, along with an extended

family and countless friends who continue to celebrate her fierce spirit and boundless creativity

every day.
