Sandra Jeanne (Ward) Cline, née Dymond, passed away in the early morning hours of 14 October 2024 in Independence, Missouri, at the age of 88. She was born on 14 August 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the only child of Elmer Dymond and Pauline (Schaeffer)Dymond.
She is survived by one son, Kyle Franklin Ward, and his wife Elisabeth Forest, of Prangins, Switzerland, and four grandchildren: Travis Scott Fitzwater-Burch, and his husband Joshua Fitzwater-Burch, of Lenexa, Kansas; Kerista Maeline Wyatt, and her husband Ray Wyatt, of Independence, Missouri; Jocelyn Lena Forest Ward; and Gabrielle Marie Forest Ward, both residing in the United Kingdom. She is also survived by four precious great-grandchildren, Scarlett-Jo Brown, Raegan Wyatt, Ella Wyatt, and Bennett Wyatt, all of Independence, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her son Grant Emerson Ward (1957-2019) and daughter Wendy Maeline (Burch) Eaton (1961-2017).
Sandra was a lifelong member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-DaySaints, and most recently a member of the Glendale Restoration Branch. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was proud to have worked for many years at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library. She was an avid crafter and found beauty wherever she went; a lover of music and nature and all things that grow, and she passed that love to her family. She loved to travel, and to spend time with her family and friends, and was always kind, and quick with a smile and encouragement for everyone around her. She will be sorely missed and always dearly remembered.
A celebration of Sandra's life is planned for a future date.
