Obituary

It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that I share the sudden and unexpected passing of

my beloved husband, Roger, who departed this life on October 2nd. His unexpected departure

has left a profound void in the hearts of all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his loyal, faithful canine companion Brizzy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; parents Vernon and Carol Foster; Brother Norman

(Marie) Foster, Sister Connie (Rod) Eisenbarth, Brother Russell Foster, Brother Darrell (Amy)

Foster, Daughter Kathryn (Todd) Hyder, Son Kameron (Shelby) Foster, Daughter Kasey

(Jordan) Fraker, Son Kirk (Kelly) Jensen, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Though my earthly heart aches from this sudden parting, I take comfort in our faith and the

promise of God’s eternal grace. Roger walked through life with a gentle spirit, finding joy in

building things with his hands, spending peaceful hours outdoors and in his garden, and

cheering passionately for the Kansas State Wildcats and the Chiefs. His warmth and presence

touched everyone around him, and his legacy of love will forever remain in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Rogers'

honor to NAMI Greater Kansas City. This is a prominent local organization serving the KC metro

area that provides free mental health support, education, and resources for families and

individuals.
