Obituary

Robert "Bob" Leo Roy, born on April 27, 1939, in St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 86 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent many years as a truckdriver over-the-road and a welder. His work took him across the country, where he appreciated the open roads and the camaraderie of fellow drivers.

Bob had a love for cats, trains, and semi-trucks, finding joy and fascination in these interests throughout his life. He also had an affinity for country music, which brought him comfort and pleasure over the years.

In addition to his professional endeavors and personal interests, Bob contributed to his community through volunteering at the Helping Hand Charity for several years. His efforts and kindness were appreciated by those who knew him.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Roy; his parents, Edna Kuehn and Leo Roy; his sisters, Georgia Jackson and Carol Rhea; and his brother, William Roy.

He is survived by his sister, Sally Morris; his brother, Max Timms; and his sons, Billy, Jack and James Roy. Bob will be fondly remembered by his family and friends who cherished his company and shared in his journey.

Bob's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity.
