Obituary

Robert A. "Bob" Lamphear died February 2, 2026, in Kansas City, Kansas.  He was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, on August 17, 1940, to William J. and Alma (Hendricks) Lamphear.

He served in the US Army as a vehicle mechanic and was stationed in Germany.   He moved to Kansas City along with his brother and uncle, where he remained for the rest of his life.

He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after years of working as a machinist.   He loved traveling, going to casinos, collecting Native American art, playing cribbage, and bragging about his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Lamphear, sister Jeanne Loomis, and uncle Bud Hendricks.

He leaves behind his wife, Linda.  Children: Jennifer (Joe) Terry, Jay (Stacey) Lamphear, Kim Ledbetter.  Three grandchildren, Craig Lamphear, Matt (Molly) Brackeen, and Alexandra Ledbetter.  Three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Macie, and McCoy Brackeen.

No service or funeral is planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Valton Cemetery Association, PO Box 2, LaValle, WI 53941 (family cemetery).
