Overland Park, Kansas - On December 12, 2023 Ralph Goodpasture, age 88, passed away.

Ralph grew up in Sedalia, Missouri. Later he moved to live with his grandparents in Concordia, Missouri, where he attended Concordia High School. He married Glendora Jean Elling January 15, 1956. They lived in Kansas City, Missouri while he worked for General Motors at Fisher Body assembly plant.

In 1957 Ralph transferred to the General Motors Delco Battery plant in Olathe, Kansas and moved to Spring Hill, Kansas. He retired from Delco Battery in 1986 after working 30 years. After retirement, Ralph and Jean moved to a private lake outside of Knob Noster, Missouri where Ralph enjoyed fishing and having family and friends visit.

Ralph and Jean were winter Texans and spent many winters at South Padre Island, Texas. Ralph enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting, traveling, square dancing, ballroom dancing and spending time with church friends. He was also an avid reader.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, parents Harvey and Earlene Goodpasture, son David Goodpasture and his brothers and sisters Buddy Grace Samuels, Hartley Goodpasture, Sandra Walters, Betty Ann Reed, Wayne Goodpasture. He leaves behind a son Marc (Paula) Goodpasture, granddaughters Amy Goodpasture and Allison (Jeff) Epner, great grandchildren Grayson and Atley Epner.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. If you would like to honor Ralph, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Parkinson's Foundation or Monarch Hospice and Palliative Care in Ralph's name.
