We are truly saddened by the passing of Paula Gayle Best on January 28, 2024. Following an extensive hospital stay and years of health issues Paula is at rest. She passed away at her home peacefully.
She was born in Excelsior Springs on July 28, 1950, to her proud parents, Wayne Irons and Marjorie (Carder) Irons. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1968 where she built strong relationships with many of her life-long friends. Her friends have referred to her as a beautiful person, inside and out.
She was a hard worker and held positions ranging from administration to marketing specialist. Paula loved interacting with people from all over the country. Her outgoing personality made her a "natural".
Paula is preceded in death by her father Wayne Irons, her mother Marjorie Irons, Marjorie's husband Lewis "Butch" Flannery, and her sister Connie Burch. She is survived by her husband and partner Russell Best, her son Blake Moberly and her grandsons Dane and Cade, her daughter Brooke Sellers (Doug) and her grandson Jake and granddaughter Morgan, her sister Kathy Elder, her cousin Dale Carder and her adored bulldog Gracie.
Paula's most cherished moments were spent with friends and family. She lived her life following her motto "Embrace the world with your own genuine style".
Those who knew Paula would not be surprised that she did not want a memorial service and wished to be cremated.
May Paula rest in pain-free eternal peace.
