Pamela Sue Peed, lovingly known as Pam, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 7, 2025, in Independence, Missouri, at the age of 60. Born on October 4, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri, Pam lived a life filled with adventure, love, and dedication to her family and passions.
Pam dedicated much of her professional life to the nonprofit sector, where she worked diligently in office administration and management. Her career was marked by her commitment to helping others and ensuring that the organizations she served ran smoothly and efficiently.
Beyond her work, Pam was a spirited individual who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a true passion for photography, capturing moments that would become treasured memories. She loved embarking on adventures, whether through camping, canoeing or taking spontaneous road trips. Bonfires under the stars were among her favorite pastimes, especially when shared with loved ones.
Her love for nature was evident in her beautiful gardens, which she meticulously tended to, and in her care for birds, cats, dogs, and other animals that were fortunate enough to be in her life. Holidays were a special time for Pam, as she delighted in cooking and creating a warm, welcoming environment for family gatherings.
After ten years together, Pam married Stephen L. Peed (Steve). They were wed on their farm on October 20, 2012, bringing their loving blended family together.
Pam is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Kilburn. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughters Desiree Tieman (Robert), Crystal McGinnis (Rhett Butler), Nikki Jo Belt (Shane), Emily Smith (Austin), and her son Austin Peed (Emily). Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Alexandria Tieman, Amiah Faye Mollett, Noah Jene Belt, Titus Tieman, Lincoln Ann Belt, Madison Wharton, Bowen Belt, and Millie Butler. She is also survived by her sister Lori Christy (Steve), her stepfather Jim Kilburn, her mother-in-law Faye Ann Martin, and many cherished brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
