Mike was a man of many talents and interests. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1972 and went on to attend the University of Missouri, Kansas City, for two years. It was during this time that he decided to pursue his passion for craftsmanship, dedicating 45 years to his work before retiring in 2021. His artistic skills and dedication to his craft were admired and respected by all who knew him.
A true outdoorsman, Mike had a deep love for hunting, gardening, and woodworking. He shared many cherished moments hunting in open fields with his beloved Brittany Spaniels. Throughout his life, he cared for five loyal companions, and is survived by Lance and Buddy, who will dearly miss their outings with their master.
Mike was an Eagle Scout, a testament to his values and commitment to community and service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil J. Boles and Nancy Lee Zwink Boles; his sister-in-law, Claudia Boles; and his brothers-in-law, John Mark Ellis and Ronald Ellis.

Ellis Boles; his siblings, Dave Boles, Kristie (Bruce) Rogers, Cheryl (Don) Pelzer, and Tim Boles; his sisters-in-law, Gwen Ball, Melanie (Don) Cox, and Bonnie (Steven) Hitchcock; his brother-in-law, Don (Deborah) Ellis; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Mike's family and friends will remember him as a loving husband, brother, and companion.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Fellowship Church, located at 116 South Washington St., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Mike's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and through the beautiful craftsmanship he left behind.
