Michael "Mike" L. Litton, born on July 31, 1959, in Alameda, California, passed away

peacefully on July 6, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 66, after enduring long-term health

issues. Michael grew up in Olathe, Kansas, and was a graduate of Olathe High School in 1977.

Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, from which he was honorably discharged.

Over the years, he worked diligently in various maintenance positions, taking great pride in his

work and always striving to do his best.

Those who knew Mike will remember him as an avid reader, particularly fond of western novels.

He also found peace and joy in fishing, spending many serene moments by the water's edge with

a fishing rod in hand.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Litton; his stepbrother, Lanny John Turner;

and his grandparents. He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Connie K.

(Millbern) Litton Turner and his stepfather, Lanny Turner. He is also survived by his siblings:

Verneda (Mark) Edwards, Roberta (Mark) Smith, Connley (Melanie) Litton, and Eric (Htomi)

Turner. Mike's legacy continues through his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and

nephews, all of whom will carry his memory.

A graveside service will be held on July 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Olathe,

Kansas, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Mike's life and bid him a fond farewell.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the KU Medical Center and the KU Olathe

Hospice House for the compassionate care provided to Mike during his final days. In lieu of

flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the KU Olathe Hospice House in Olathe,

Kansas, in Mike's honor. The address is 15310 S. Marion St., Olathe, Kansas, 66061.
