Mary Mona Hahner, 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 21, 2024, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was born on December 11, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri to John Keith Hahner and Mona Elizabeth Shocklee Hahner. She grew up in Shawnee, Kansas, graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1969. After school, Mary Mona worked for Hallmark and Select Brands and eventually spent many years as a successful real estate agent in the Kansas City area. Mary Mona met the love of her life, Donald Price, while working at Select Brands. They married on October 10, 1992, and were married for nearly 10 years, until Don's death in January 2002.

Mary Mona is preceded in death by husband, Don Price, parents, John Hahner and Mona Hahner, and siblings, Barbara Hahner Byrne and James Hahner. She is survived by siblings, Joan Hahner Greene (Overland Park, KS), John Hahner (Shawnee, KS), David and Cathi Hahner (Basehor, KS), Donald and Deborah Hahner Michalski (Kansas City, KS), Terry and Elizabeth "Betsy" Hahner Kensinger (Bella Vista, AR) and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Mona will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. She was an avid dog lover and gave a loving home to many terriers over the years. She loved to travel; Chicago, San Diego, and Jamaica were among her favorite places to visit.

A memorial service will be held on March 15th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 9:30 -10:30, with mass following at 10:30.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104.
