Kyle Drake, born on April 29, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 67 in Overland Park, Kansas, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

On January 8, we lost the love of my life, Kyle Drake, to brain cancer. True to his generous nature, he selflessly donated bone, tissue, and skin so that others could have a better life.

Kyle was known for always having a smile on his face, often entertaining those around him with funny stories from work, life, and childhood. He had a unique ability to find humor and maintain a positive outlook in any situation. Kyle cherished his friendships, maintaining close ties with many people across his life. His friends ranged from those he met through his involvement in Special Olympics, HPAC, Boy Scouts, Tech Club, previous employers, and even those he knew from childhood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Bev Drake.

Kyle will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Cindy; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Mark; his sons, Brent and Ryan; his daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Brian; and his beloved grandchildren, Holly & Chris, Chloe, and Sylvie. His passing has also left a profound impact on his countless friends. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who provided support in the months surrounding his passing.

A celebration of Kyle's life will be held on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, from 2-5 pm at Holmeswood Church, located at 9700 Holmes Rd in Kansas City, Missouri. All who knew him are welcome to join in honoring his memory.
