Obituary

Kirsten Elizabeth Hanson passed away peacefully surrounded by those she loved at the St. Luke's Hospice House on February 4, 2025.

Kirsten is survived by her parents David and Linda Hanson; sister Anna Hanson and her son Hunter; brother Andrew Hanson and his daughters Khloe, Kypten, and Kenna.

Kirsten Hanson was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A one of a kind woman who was a beacon of warmth and care regardless of who she was speaking to. Despite the medical affliction that caused her to become a quadriplegic in her youth, she refused to be limited in her ability to make the life she wanted for herself. Due to her caring personality, the life she wanted was one where she held out a hand for anyone in need no matter the age, situation, or relationship. Kirsten had the unique ability to always say what someone needed to hear and light up a room with her genuine compassion and always optimistic demeanor. For family and friends alike her presence was a source of joy and comfort. In all her encounters, she has helped bring out the best in each person she lent an ear to. Although we will all miss Kirsten dearly, her spirit will live on through the mark she left on our hearts as we remember her legacy of compassion and love.
