Kenneth Joe Mason, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2024 at Burlington Creek Assisted Living Facility in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on July 26, 1948, to William H. Mason and Leola "Juanita" Mason (née, McClure) in Aurora, Missouri.

Ken lived a life full of day trips, gardening, canning, and woodworking, and never missed an opportunity to be with his grandkids. He was known for his kindness and humor, as well as his mule-like stubbornness, which endeared him to all who knew him.

Professionally, Ken excelled in his engineering career, making significant contributions to Butler Manufacturing, his workplace of 17 years. No issue was too big or too small, or really too difficult, for Ken to fix.

In his personal life, Ken cherished time spent with his son, daughter, grandchildren, and girlfriend, and enjoyed hosting holiday dinners for the entire family. He will be remembered for his incredible ability to whip up a pie and a bowl of Jello in record time.

Ken is survived by his daughter Ashleigh Schlorholtz (Marc), his son Brandon Mason, and his two grandchildren Chloe and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pam.

A celebration of life will be held on July 6, 2024, at Ken's home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.

Ken's quick-witted spirit and loving nature will live on through the memories shared by all who were touched by his life.
