Judith Carol Huggins passed away on June 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 8, 1946, in Merram, Kansas. At the time of her passing, Judy was 79.

Judy loved to garden and spend time in nature. She loved doing crosswords and playing word games with her grandchildren. She also loved playing Rummy and Yahtzee and always ended up winning. Judy loved sitting and talking with her daughter, who was her best friend.

Judy proudly served her country in the Army and will be remembered for her commitment and service to her country. She is preceded in death by her parents, Caroline and John Kaufman; brother, Michael Kaufman; sister, Candace Wilson; husband, Roger Huggins Jr; daughters, Lisa Kaufman and Kelly Spoor; and grandson, Daniel Jones.

Judy leaves behind a legacy cherished by her beloved family and friends, including her daughter Katie Mendez; son in law, Aldo Mendez; son, Roger Huggins III; daughter in law, Lori Huggins; grandchildren, Brittany Porter, Jack Robertson III, Jaden Jones, Alyssa Henson, Kai Spoor, Cole Henson, August Mendez, and Alex Mendez; siblings, Marlyn and Buck Creamer, Janice and Keith Conaway, and brother Jerry Kaufman.

Services to honor and celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Thursday, July 9th, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 920 South Alta Lane, Olathe, Kansas 66061. The memory of Judy Carol Huggins will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
