John K. Burns, 77, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on April 8, 2026. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1949, John was a respected business owner and a devoted family man who has now been reunited with his beloved wife, Jane.

John graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School and attended Pittsburg State University. Above all his work and business success, his primary focus remained his family and his seven grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; father, John; mother, Ruth; stepfather, Richard; and his stepbrothers, Chris and Jay. He is survived by his sons, Sean (Brenda) and Jason, and seven grandchildren: Blake, Jack, Tate, Grant, Tyler, Ella, and Anna.
