Jesse Lee Ricker, born on August 2, 1985, in Lees Summit, Missouri, passed away tragically on April 9, 2025, at the age of 39. His untimely death occurred at his home in Lee's Summit, leaving family and friends in profound sorrow.
Jesse's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his unwavering faith. He attended Excelsior Springs, MO Job Corps, where he graduated in 2004 with his GED, completion of JROTC, and an apprenticeship in carpentry. Discovering a passion for automotive mechanics, Jesse embarked on a fulfilling career at various shops, ultimately securing a position at the Ford Claycomo Plant.
Jesse's early years were spent under the adventurous and loving care of his father, Phillip L. Ricker. Together, they moved to Wyoming, where they shared many cherished moments until Phillip's passing when Jesse was just 11 years old. Despite the profound loss, Jesse carried forward his father's legacy of love and adventure throughout his life.
In 2005, Jesse married Valerie (Meads) Ricker. Although their marriage lasted 13 years, they shared the greatest blessing of all—their beloved son, Jacob Lee Ricker. Jacob was the light of Jesse's life, and Jesse's devotion and love for him knew no bounds. Jacob often expressed that his father was his greatest inspiration.
In the fall of 2020, Jesse found love once more and married Nancy, who brought immeasurable joy and completeness to his life. Together, they formed the family he had long dreamed of, a source of happiness and fulfillment until both Jesse and Nancy's untimely passing.
Jesse is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy (Schirlls) Ricker; his parents, Phillip L. Ricker and Denise L. Lappohn; and his uncle, Robert Ricker.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his cherished son, Jacob Lee Ricker; his sister, Kelsie (Ricker) Suire, her husband Jason, and their children Leni and Lincoln; his stepbrother, Anthony (Tony) Retel, his wife Alx, and their children Devon and Faye; his aunts, Belinda Martin and her husband Joe, Kim Ricker, and Willian (Pebbles) Ricker; as well as many cousins and dear friends who were like family to him.
