Jeffrey "Jeff"
Rollings
Oct 24, 1962 — Dec 26, 2023
Jeffrey Blake (Jeff) Rollings, 61, passed away at his home in Merriam, KS on December 26, 2023.
He was born on October 24, 1962, in Okemah, Oklahoma. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, Jeff lived in several different cities, throughout the Midwest. However, he graduated, in 1981, from John L. McClellan High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jeff remembered his high school years with fondness for many of his classmates and often spoke of their antics.
After eventually settling in Merriam, Kansas in 1998, with his wife Cindy, Jeff enjoyed working in the concrete industry. He was also a fixture in the Kansas City skateboarding community. Jeff loved visiting all of the different skate parks around the city and hanging out with The Bullets crew. Jeff also loved cooking, and trying new recipes (he always measured garlic and peppers with his heart). Cindy ate a lot of canned vegetables some evenings. Jeff also loved spending time caring for their outdoor spaces, especially the fountains that his wife kept purchasing. He loved all three of their dogs, Jessica, Izzy, and Nanook. But, mainly, Jeff adored spending time with his grandchildren.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Richard Rollings in 2014. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Cindy) Blixt of 27 years, his mother Melba Jean Birdwell (Robert Dinwiddie), his brother Marc Rollings (Laura), his children Joe Rollings, Nikki Hernandez (Chris), and Erin Acker (Darren Gfeller), and his six grandchildren Julia, Landen, Ivie, Brody, Eliana, and Ezreal.
A Remembrance of Jeff's Life will be announced at a later date.
