Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Hall was born in Canton, Ohio, on August 5, 1957, and passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO from complications of lymphoma and injuries sustained in an auto accident in 2022. Jeff was a 1975 graduate of Glen Oaks High School in Canton, Ohio, and attended the University of Cincinnati where he majored in engineering. Jeff relocated to Lenexa, Kansas, where he lived with his brother Fred and his family for a time. Soon he found employment with the City of Lenexa and moved to an apartment where he met the woman of his dreams, Debbie, who eventually became his loving wife. After working several years for the City of Lenexa, Jeff was offered the opportunity to work for the City of Leawood, Kansas, and worked there until his retirement. Jeff loved working with children, as evidenced by his 30-plus years of service to the children's ministry at Legacy Christian Church. Jeff was a faithful servant of our Lord, teaching Sunday School with his wife, attending countless summer camps, and driving the church bus. He was an avid football fan, with Saturdays seeing him cheer on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, and Sundays in his long-time season ticket seat at Arrowhead. Jeff's other passion was his grandkids. Whether he was coaching them or attending their many activities, he was always their biggest fan. Jeff's avocation was teaching, so following his retirement from the City of Lenexa, Jeff decided to further his love of working with children by taking on as a "retirement job" a position as Teachers Assistant in the Olathe, Kansas School District. He began working at Olathe North High School. The following year he moved to Olathe East High School, where he worked until his accident and poor health forced his final retirement. Jeff was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Debbie, of the home, his father Raymond F. Hall, his mother Ellen D. Espenschied Hall, and his older brother Raymond C. Hall, all of Canton, Ohio. He is survived by his daughters Renee (William) Hann and Schonna Mayabb; grandchildren Sara (Cody) Keeth, Noah Hann, Josie Mayabb, and Luke Mayabb, great-granddaughter Sutton Keeth; brothers Michael Hall of Bradenton, Florida, and Frederick Hall of Overland Park, Kansas, and their wives and children. In lieu of flowers, donations to Legacy Christian Church kids camp are requested. "The master said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!" – Matthew 25-23 NLT Celebration Of Life 04/15/2023 2:00 PM Legacy Christian Church 10150 Antioch Rd Overland Park, KS
