Harry Thomas "Tom" Dougan age 76, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. A Celebration of Life for Harry will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 4:00pm at First Christian Church located at 200 East Loula, Kansas 66061.

Harry was born in a house in Stillwell, Kansas on September 2, 1947, to William and Waneta Dougan. He ended up being number six of nine of their children. Harry grew up in the Stillwell, Olathe and Gardner area. He met Kathy Mitchell when he was only seventeen years old, and she was just 14 years old. They were married two years later when he turned 19 and she was 16 years old. They were together for 60 years before she passed away two years ago.

He started working as a cement mason at the young age of 14 years old. He learned his craft from his friend Boomer and his oldest brother Bill. He loved working at Better Concrete with his friend Mike and often spoke highly of him.

He really enjoyed a great Chiefs game and wearing his Chiefs hats. He always had a comb nearby to get his hair just so. Nas Car, Fishing and Hunting were other loves of Toms life.

He is preceded in death by his mom Wanita and Dad William Dougan, Seven of his siblings: Alice Bryant, Wanita Morris, William Dougan, Conway "Jack" Dougan, Donald Dean Dougan, Freddie Joe Dougan and David Leroy. His grandson Taylor and Kathy Mitchell.

He is survived by his daughter Marcy Ray, son in law Aaron Ray, Grandson Tyler Ray, daughter in law Kelly Ray, Grandson Tanner Ray, Sister Kathy Burkhart, brother-in-law Billy Burkhart and many nieces and nephew and their spouses and families.

You will be forever missed.
