Gregory J." Greg" Lenz passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on April 30, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska, Greg lived a life marked by dedication to family, faith, and community. He departed this world surrounded by loved ones in Lenexa, Kansas, after a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer.

Greg spent his professional life in the commercial insurance industry, where he built a respected career as a Risk Manager before retiring. His work ethic and integrity left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his career, Greg was a man of varied interests and deep commitments. He found joy in reading and volunteering his time at the Bishop's Storehouse. Greg was also an active election worker and took great pride in maintaining the subdivision swimming pool for over two decades. Above all, Greg cherished the time spent with his family.

A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Greg's faith guided him in all aspects of his life. His contributions to his church and numerous community organizations were invaluable and too numerous to list.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a nephew. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Vickie, and his sons John (Jessica) of Pierre, SD; William (Catherine) of Arnold, MO; Adam (Connie) of Shawnee, KS; and David (Kristie) of Overland Park, KS. Greg was also a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services to honor and remember Greg will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 7100 Hadley St., Overland Park, KS 66204.
