Gail Luther May passed away, after a 10-year battle with cancer, the evening of September 12, 2020, in his home with his family at his side. He was born in Neodesha Kansas (Wilson County) and graduated from Harper High School in 1966. Gail attended Hutchinson Community College, graduating with an Associate's degree in Applied Science. He served in the Army from 1969-1971 as a Draftsman with Headquarters Detachment in the 2nd signal group near Long Binh, Vietnam. Gail worked at Cessna as a Draftsman of Hydraulics for 12 years, Krause Plow Corporation as a Draftsman Designer for 16 years, and the Overland Park Sheraton Hotel as the Director of Engineering for 15 years. He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teresa (Bleything) May, his three children: Christopher Scott May (Wife Amy Wilson May), Staci Lyn May, Jonathan Troy May, and four grandsons. He is also survived by his siblings; Carolyn May, and Allen May (Wife Verneda Broce May). He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gail May and Ila Marie (Deal) May. Service Gail's trademark attire was a white t-shirt and jeans; to honor him, we encourage you to wear a white t-shirt and jeans and to share your stories of remembrance on October 4, 2020, from 1-5 pm at the Sheraton Hotel, 6100 College Blvd. , Leawood KS 66211.
