Gail Jeanne Lucas, affectionately known as Gail, passed away peacefully from

natural causes at Providence Place nursing home in Kansas City, Kansas, on July

19, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on December 30, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri,

Gail lived a life filled with love, dedication, and family.

Gail worked at Duff's Thriftway in the 1970s and later contributed to the

community by serving in the cafeteria of the KCKS Public Schools. Her career

was marked by her commitment to hard work and her warm interactions with

colleagues and students alike.

A devoted member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Gail found great solace and

community within her faith. She was known for her steadfast devotion and her

kind spirit, offering support and friendship to all who knew her.

Gail had a profound love for horses and cherished every moment spent with her

beloved grandchildren. They brought immense joy to her life, and she was

endlessly proud of them.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Elmer Wright; her first

husband, Darwin Bouray; her second husband, Halgene Lucas; and her youngest

son, David Bouray. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves

behind: her oldest son, Greg Bouray, and his wife, Marlene; her daughter, Diana

Murray; her seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-

great-grandchild.

A memorial service to honor Gail's life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of

Jehovah's Witnesses, 6251 Minnesota Ave., on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 3:00.
