Geraldine Lamm, 87, Parsons, Kansas, and more recently at Vintage Park in Louisburg, Kansas passed sway September 22, 2011 at North Point in Paola, Kansas under the care of Odyssey Hospice. She was born March 23, 1924 in Dennis, Kansas, daughter of Floyd and Edna Hild. Geraldine was raised in Cherryvale, Kansas and graduated from Cherryvale High School. She was married in 1946 and taught school in a one room school house. Geraldine was a life-long member of the Parsons Wesley United Methodist Church and later in life, the Louisburg UMC. She was a Sunday School teacher, was in charge of the church funeral dinners and a member of the church bell choir. Geraldine volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the Labette County Hospital gift shop as a "pink lady". She enjoyed bowling, cross stitching and crocheting. Geraldine was a homemaker most of her life and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, daughter, Kristi Colburn, a brother Wayne Hild and a sister, Carrie Lou Beebe. She is survived by a daughter, Patti Cochran, two sons, Mike and Doug Lamm, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her sister, Jeanne Allen. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Louisburg UMC followed by a graveside service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont, Kansas at 4 pm.
