Mrs. Emilia Francis Doherty was born on August 18, 1936, to Claude Adam Elliott and Sadie Elizabeth Windler Elliott in Kansas City, Missouri. She went to be with the Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 26, 2022, at Good Smartian Nursing Home, Olathe, Kansas. Emilia, well-known as Ellie, met Clifford William Doherty (Bill) and married him on February 18, 1956. Ellie and Bill lived a long-married life of 66 years. Ellie worked as a bookkeeper, teacher's aide/ tutor, and Accounts Payable Specialist at Sprint. She retired in July of 2002 from Sprint. Family was Ellie's most valuable and important blessing. Ellie is survived by Bill Doherty along with their three daughters, Debora Diana (Gene) Saulmon of Olathe, Kansas; Dawn Darlene (John) Claussen of Rensselaer, Indiana, and Dolores Dale (Carol) Doherty of Walkersville, Maryland. Ellie is also survived by her Sister Claudine Ann Doherty (Gerald, deceased) of Pineville, Missouri. Ellie is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Chad Christopher Claussen (Jennifer) of West Lafayette, Indiana; Ashley Mowry (Brett) of Olathe Kansas; Andrew Joseph Smith (Jennifer) of Mt. Airy, Maryland; Cameron Charles Claussen (Jessica) of Chandler, Arizona, and 8 great grandchildren. A Private Service will be held at her place of resting.
