Edgar Zordel, 86, of Baldwin City, Kansas, passed away January 29, 2016. He was born November 11, 1929 in Lehigh, ND, son of L. D. and Flossie Shero Zordel. He graduated from Ransom, KS High School and served in the US Army. Edgar was self employed as an auto mechanic in Russell, Kansas, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion and was an avid bowler, having bowled a 300 game on January 16, 1995. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Irma and Alice, children Rita and Robert and his siblings, Dwayne, Donald, Marion Overbay, Delores Jackman, Patricia Kilpatrick and Dorothy Zordel. He is survived by his children, Donald (Tammie) of Baldwin City, James of Russell and Carol (Timber) of Bailey, Colorado; his siblings Loren and Bob Zordel, Hill City, Kansas, Dell Zordel and LaVonne Nelson, Denver, Colorado and JoAnn Schuessler, Hutchinson, Kansas many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Edgar will be inurned with military honors at the Russell City Cemetery at a later date.
