Douglas Edward Worley, 52, Lenexa, Kansas passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 . The funeral will be held in Lowell, Indiana and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Doug was born September 11, 1960 in Gary, Indiana and grew up in Griffith, Indiana where he graduated from Griffith High School in 1979. He excelled in multiple sports and was awarded 1st team all-state line-backer his senior year. He attended Indiana University and graduated with a degree in Computer Science. He began his career with Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati and worked with both Hallmark and H&R Block in Kansas City in Executive level positions. Doug is survived by his children, Justin, Jason and Allison Worley, and his step-children, Ashley and Christopher Daniels. He is also survived by his brother Mike, sister Lynn and aunts and uncles who were a big part of his life, Lenora Nomanson, Jack and Betty Nomanson, Betty Lou Duncan and Judy and Ken Buser. Doug was preceded in death by his mother and father, Barbara and Dale "Tiny" Worley, his aunt and uncle Elaine and John Vislosky and his uncle Kenny Duncan. Doug was well loved in the Olathe soccer community, and for over 20 years he was involved in coaching each one of his kid's soccer teams. Over the years he coached such teams as the Blue Jays, the Blasters and the Flames, and he found great joy coaching his soccer kids. He was a lover of roller coasters and would plan vacations with his kids around going to theme parks with the largest roller coasters. He was a great big kid at heart and will be greatly missed by his family.
