Dottye Wilder Gonser passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023 in her home in Lenexa, Kansas. Dottye was surrounded by her daughter, Pamela LaRue, her son D. Scott Parke and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dottye was born on March 11, 1926 to Ira and Chloe Wilder. Her mother Chloe Bell Wilder passed away from Tuberculosis when she and her little sister, Wanda, were young. Dottye's father went on to marry Lela Mae and they had their family home in Oakland City, Indiana. Ira and Lela Mae went on to have 3 more children, Carolyn, Donald and Richard. Dottye found love in Oakland City and married Paul Gene Parke (P. G) as they were high school sweethearts. Dottye went to nursing school (World War II) to help her country if needed. She was never deployed (thank goodness we may not be here otherwise). P. G. and Dottye went on to have a daughter, Pamela LaRue and son D. Scott Parke. P. G. 's work took him all over the country and they settled in the Kansas City metro area. Dottye and P. G. went on to live separate lives, but remained friends for the rest of their time here. Dottye went on to marry Ray Gonser. They lived in Lenexa until Rays work relocated them to Burnsville, Minnesota in 1981. They moved back to Lenexa after Rays retirement in 1991. Ray passed away in 1994 from a long battle with cancer. Dottye leaves behind her children, Pamela LaRue, D. Scott Parke, her grandchildren Aubrey Haehn and Amy Ford. Dottye has 6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Dottyes surviving siblings are Carolyn Houndshell, Donald Wilder and Richard Wilder.
