Dorothy Ann Kovar, 69, passed away on March 14, 2023 at her home in Overland Park. She was born on September 3, 1953 to Gil and Ruth Kovar. She graduated from Shawnee Mission North in 1971, attended Kansas University, and received her business degree from Midamerica Nazarene University. Dorothy operated several businesses during her career and worked for the St. Luke's Heart Institute before retiring several years ago. She organized numerous charity and fund-raising events throughout her time at the Institute, including a Red Dress event featuring First Lady Laura Bush. She was preceded in death by her older brother, John, and her parents. She is survived by her brothers, Bob and Jim, and 50-60 nieces and nephews.
