Donald D. Zaiser Jr., age 89, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Donald was born on May 25, 1937, in Bingham, Utah, to Donald D. Zaiser Sr. and Esther A. Zaiser. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before spending much of his career in the airline industry with TWA and Worldspan. Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and dependability. 

Donald was a kind, hardworking, and loyal man whose quiet strength and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He loved photography and had a lifelong appreciation for music, enjoying everything from opera to rock. He found joy in capturing life’s special moments through his camera and could often be found listening to one of his favorite songs. 

He never sought the spotlight, but he touched countless lives through his kindness, generosity, and the love he gave so freely to his family. Above all else, Donald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His greatest joy was spending time with his three cherished granddaughters, Eryca, Autumn, and Alayna, whose laughter and love brought him endless happiness. 

Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Zaiser; his children, Robert Zaiser, Kristina Zaiser, and Anthony Zaiser, daughter-in-law, Ashley Zaiser; his granddaughters, Eryca Zaiser, Autumn Zaiser, and Alayna Zaiser; and his sisters, Bonnie Devenberg and Sandra Lee, both of Utah, along with their loving families. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald D. Zaiser Sr. and Esther A. Zaiser. 

In accordance with Donald’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or any organization of your choice. 

Donald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, unwavering love for his family, gentle spirit, and quiet example will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
