Don Bolinger, 66, beloved son and brother passed away peacefully July 17, 2014. Don bravely and gracefully faced his battle with cancer while looking forward to his final destination being with the Lord. He enjoyed his time here on earth being on the lake or ocean, watching the Chiefs and Royals, and helping others. He had worked in many types of sales positions throughout his life, and was always the absolute best at what he did. He lived in Central America for the past 17 years where he formed an extended family including his adopted daughter, Dayanna, of Honduras. While there he did a tremendous amount of work helping the less fortunate. Don is survived by his parents, Glen and Barbara of Olathe; his two younger brothers Jerry (Barbara) of Reno and Greg (Roxane) of Spring Hill as well as his niece and nephew, Micah and Brian Ruzich. The family would like to extend special thanks to a few of Don's good friends; Wally, Rick, Elaine and Steve and Marnie. Your love and support during the last few weeks meant so much. A "Celebration of Don's Life" is scheduled for 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at The First Baptist Church of Olathe, 2024 E. 151st Street. A meal will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, Don would appreciate a donation to either of his favorite organizations, The Salvation Army or Gideon's International.
